The Jasmine arrived today, and it took my breath away when I opened the case. It is a privilege to hold such an exquisite pipe, and I hope you will let Mr. Gezer know that I will treasure his work until the day I pass it on to my son, if I should be so lucky. It was hard, waiting for this day, but now that this pipe is in my hands, it is clear that it was worth every minute--even the case is more finely made than any I have seen on the meerschaums at my local tobacconist's. It is a time of celebration here, when we celebrate the founding of our country on July 4th, and I plan to sit out and savor my new pipe while I watch the fireworks that night--if I can decide which tobacco to smoke in it, that is!

The postman delivered my pipes just an hour ago. They are even nicer than the pictures, they didn't do them justice. The pre smoked to my surprise and delight, has much more color than I expected and the swirl with the square shank is very lovely. I am going to enjoy them very much.

This message is just to inform you that the pipe arrived here safely this morning and it looks fantastic. The plainer carving on the bowl of the Rhodesian pipe which I mentioned I prefer, came as a most pleasant, unexpected and delightful surprise. I know I may have to wait a little while before I can try it out but I eagerly look forward to smoking my first ever Meerschaum pipe. I have recently received my wonderful Jasmine pipe, handcarved by master Sevket Gezer. I smoked it twice. Now it became one of my favorite pipes! It has excellent shape and beauty and superior smoking properties - dry and cold smoke. My favorite tobaccos sound even more delicious in this pipe, having more subtle nuances of taste. I am very please with this magnificent pipe! It was worth to wait for it so eagerly! Thank you and regards to master Sevket Gezer!
