Ted "The Bear" Haviland

Sinan, I love it! The rough "plateau", for lack of a better term, flows across the top and down the sides of the pipe like a beautiful flower. The carving is crisp and clean...a delight to look at and to hold. I've only smoked one bowl (McClellands 5100/110) but it smoked cool and dry, right to the bottom. As with all meerschaums, the flavor of the tobacco was pure and clean. Hence, my love affair with the lovely "Seafoam".

The pipes arrived last week and they are a pleasure to smoke as well as they are beautiful. The meerschaum indeed brings out the best of the tobacco and the smoke is cool and full of flavour, it`s fantastic. I really love to smoke these pipes. I was a little bit disappointed by the "Pot" model, though. The "pot pipe" looked more like a "billiard" than a pot. My "pot pipes" are designated to my favorite flake tobaccos. I like a wide and not to deep tobacco chamber as well as a little bit thicker wall of the bowl for the perfect cool smoke of a flake tobacco, but I must say that the flake tastes wonderful in the billiard to. I am indeed very pleased and I want to say thanks for the wonderful pipes!
